  1. Bring water and salt to a rapid boil.
  2. Stir in quinoa, reduce heat to low-medium.
  3. Allow quinoa to simmer for 20 minutes.


Notes

Please bear in mind, quinoa is much like rice and is cooked according to the absorption method. The yield of cooked quinoa depends largely on the time it spends simmering in the water: the more water it absorbs, the more the grain puffs/swells. From the 1 cup of uncooked quinoa this recipe calls for, you could quite possibly end up with a little more than 2 cups of cooked quinoa.
